Worker Rights are American Rights...

“Only a fool would try to deprive working men and women of the right to join the union of their choice.”
President Dwight D. Eisenhower – Republican President of the United States

Sometimes we overthink things.  The word “union” when spoken at work conjures up the notion of a complex bureaucratic Labor Organization.  We need to get passed this image and think of our basic human instinct of wanting to belong, to unite with others.  Our instinct to unite may be for Love, Joy, Grief, Protection… and is essential to the strength of our communities and country. In short, at its fundamental level our union is Patriotism in action.
